Reem and the Plant Director

Reem is a sales representative for a Bahraini industrial-safety supplier. She is lively and informal, takes the social initiative, likes to lead conversations, loves telling stories, and quickly shares her feelings and opinions. Last week she met Mr. Jassim, the operations director of an aluminium plant. Jassim spoke little, never tried to take charge of the conversation, and kept his feelings to himself. His office was very orderly, he asked precise, detailed questions, and he gave only measured opinions. Colleagues say he is difficult to get to know. Reem opened with jokes about her weekend, talked very fast, and gave an enthusiastic pitch without any technical data. Jassim never said he was unhappy, but as she spoke he leaned back, folded his arms, and kept glancing at the clock with a blank expression. By the end he had become stiff and formal and said he could not make a decision. Reem's manager told her that she will only win this account if she learns to treat Jassim the way he wants to be treated.
سؤال 1

[CH5] Using the two dimensions of the communication style model, identify Jassim's communication style. Support your answer with evidence from the case.

سؤال 2

[CH5] Explain what went wrong between Reem and Jassim using communication style concepts, and recommend how Reem should flex her style at the next meeting.

سؤال 3

[CH4] Jassim never said that he was unhappy. Using Chapter 4 concepts, explain what signals Reem missed and why they mattered. Also identify one voice-quality mistake she made.
