Nakheel Dairy's Laban Campaign

Nakheel Dairy is a Bahraini company selling bottled laban in supermarkets across the Kingdom. Before planning its next campaign, the marketing manager, Huda, commissioned a survey of laban shoppers. The survey found three main groups. Group A, about 30 percent of shoppers, buy only Nakheel laban every week. Group B buy Nakheel laban but also regularly buy Safa, a rival brand. When asked, Group B said they are happy with Nakheel's taste, but they see almost no risk in trying another brand because all brands cost about the same. Group C buy several competing brands, rotating between Safa and two imported brands, but they have never bought Nakheel. The survey also showed that most shoppers do not plan which laban brand to buy before leaving home; they decide while standing in front of the chilled shelf, where around eight brands are displayed side by side. Huda's budget is limited, and she must decide which groups to target and what the advertising should show.

Sahel Motors' Hybrid SUV Launch

Sahel Motors, a car dealer in Bahrain, is launching an expensive new hybrid SUV. Its research shows that buyers usually spend several weeks reading reviews and comparing models online before visiting a showroom, because a wrong choice is costly. In a typical buying family, the Al-Jishi family, the eldest son Ali first suggested buying a hybrid. Ali's uncle, a mechanic, advised the family to avoid one competing model. The father, Yousif, made the final choice of model, while the mother, Maryam, signed the contract and paid for the car. Maryam drives it every day. To launch the SUV, Sahel plans TV ads in the evenings during Ramadan to make people aware of the new model. It will also send showroom salespeople to answer each family's specific questions and offer a voucher giving free servicing to the first 100 buyers who order within two weeks. The ads, showroom displays and vouchers will all carry the same slogan, colours and tone so that every message works together.
سؤال 1

[CH5] Identify the role each member of the Al-Jishi family played in the purchase decision.

سؤال 2

[CH5] Is buying this SUV a low- or high-involvement decision? Explain which decision process the buyers follow and why Sahel's advertising should support it.
